Shoot Production Changing Rooms Sponsored by Dulux

I was briefed to produce all promo content for the return of Changing Rooms. The show was returning to Channel 4 after a long hiatus from British screens. It’s return heralded Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen's return to the show alongside, a presenter in Anna Richardson, and new designer talent 2LG. The show was to get marketing support across all platforms, I produced a shoot for PR, social, on-air, and print working closely with teams across the business and harnessing relationships that would deliver materials for a wide range of outputs. I scoped the idea, its costs, and a schedule - making the most of talent time whilst considering the time restrictions of a working dog. I worked closely with the on-screen designers and their teams to create a set that best reflected their style and worked harmoniously together. I also worked closely with the sales team to keep the sponsor across developments, timings, and outputs, as well as ensuring all paint used was delivered to the set builders and used as required.

Pre-production, set build & development

I worked closely with the designers and sponsors to not only work with Dulux paint colours but to design sets that would complement each other within a single image. Working closely with the creatives & set builders to ensure the safety of the build and have all insurances in place. I booked talent time and commissioned their glam teams, coordinating wardrobes and timings for prep and prelighting.

Imagery

I created imagery for organic usages, across UK press, VOD, and talent channels. I worked with through talent approvals, PRs, media outlets and freelancers to create the final output.

Asset gathering, scheduling & editing

I worked closely with the photographer, glam teams, and videographer to create a schedule for the day allowing enough time to capture both, moving between one and the other. It was also important to capture all cast members as both singles and within the group frame, whilst also allowing for the sponsor’s dog to be present in versions. I budgeted for the build, travel, accommodation, crew, and edits working with editors and creative to deliver on-air bumpers.

Imagery cont.

I created several variations delivering exclusive and generic images across titles and platforms. I worked closely with titles and talents agreeing release dates and usages.

Social & collaboration

I worked closely with teams internally to deliver and create content that would work for appointment to view on the day of release, building the anticipation of the show’s return. Scheduling edit time, approvals, and delivering into an array of social platforms driving viewing.
