Shoot Production Sport Relief: Overview

As a creative producer for Sport Relief working in-house, across video and stills. I managed both yearly and shoot-specific budgets, producing content in the UK and internationally, and delivering content for print, OOH, digital, and broadcast. I worked closely with in-house teams, partners, agencies and freelance talent to create a wide range of content, delivering across evergreen and project-specific content requirements.

TV

I worked closely with the BBC marketing and production teams, building relationships with the show’s production team as well as the marketing gaining knowledge of all opportunities for additional content to be shot. I gained access to many sketches, giving teams within the charity access and opportunities to capture additional content for organic and paid-for channels across print and digital.


Campaign Websites

Producing video banners, and updates across event registration sites, delivering across the campaign demographics.

Future-proofing at events, booking crews, writing shot lists, and collating content at events to ensure collateral for future marketing needs. Sorting media accreditations for press access and crews to deliver requirements.

Fundraising Packs

Working closely with creative, education and marketing teams to deliver photo and AV across fundraising channels producing packs, videos, event materials, direct mails and digital products. Crafting stories to engage and delight the core demographic for each item. Producing and managing shoots in the UK and internationally; sourcing and licensing archive footage and images, and negotiating copyright and usage requirements. Managing a team to deliver shoots and requests across the business.


Partnerships, POS, and Print

Working with corporate partners including Sainsbury’s, to deliver branding across the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile. Covering website-specific event pages for running, swimming and cycling. I managed the capture of content to enhance the fundraising offering to a wide range of participants across the three sports. I commissioned shoots across the UK delivering models, locations, risk assessments, and rights purchases. Ensuring there was clothing and props required for each shoot to deliver on brand, on schedule and within budget.

Brand shoots

I produced shoots that delivered stills and videos that would set out the brand proposition for each campaign. I found locations, cast, budgeted and scheduled shoots that delivered against the creative proposition. Prioritising requests across the campaign understanding the core requirements, and determining the shoot calendar for future requirements. I prepped all shoot paperwork including call sheets, RA’s, insurance, travel, accommodation, food, props and merchandise. Whilst being the central point of contact for crew, talent and staff on set and dealing with any issues, ensuring a safe, secure and happy shoot.

During post-production I delivered content across an agile set of deliverables, scheduling edits, retouching and design time, building in approvals, revisions and re-edits for ongoing campaign requirements and updates. Securing all paperwork for graphics, stills and music licenses.


OOH

Producing shoots to deliver for advertising campaigns, casting, location permit handing, and resourcing shoots. Working closely with photographers, directors and their agents to negotiate fees, and align POs & budgets. Responsible for hiring and managing freelance crews and agencies, delivering contracts and licensing for photo, film, and graphics.
